Here is a conceptual design for the bus from Fernando in Argentina. Fernando you will remember designed the "poster" for the flyer that you see on this blogsite. Let me know what you think. Ken
Janet Tooby in San Diego has come up with a beautiful location for the first leg of the Poetic Opening Tour. I am including her description here and some pictures that she sent to me for you to see. Here is Janet's poetic description.
What looks the best is the pavilion at Glen Park, one of the most beautiful parks in North County San Diego, which is right here in Cardiff-by-the-Sea.
Glen Park is an inspirational setting with palm trees and ocean breezes and view. The park is 7-10 acres on different levels, lush with huge palms and fichus trees, shaded and peopled. A very peaceful setting for poetry. Also, there seems to be electricity at the pavilion plus there are restrooms, and barbecues for a picnic. Weather should be good by April.
The facility is on a first-come-firs-served basis so perhaps we could have a workshop and a reading: Workshop in the morning (10:00-noon), followed by a barbeque for lunch, then a reading (2:00-4:00). Some photos are included for you to see this beautiful place.
We may have found a bus for the POET2 tour. I will be going to take a look at it this coming weekend. The idea is to have a bunch of young artists paint and decorate it for us in the theme of the tour. If you know any young artists that would be interested in helping out, please ask them to email me at kdickinson@aol.com
